Our convenient 2-day riding class will get you up on two wheels in no time, ready to ride!

As a state-contracted provider of the Motorcycle Safety Foundation® Basic RiderCourse™, Motorcycle Rentals of Houston, LP will teach you the fundamentals of safe and enjoyable motorcycling, including straight-line riding, turning, shifting and braking. You'll also learn street strategies to help keep you safer in traffic, advanced turning techniques, maximum braking methods and convenience maneuvers to help you in everyday situations.

The class consists of two sessions: Saturday 8a - 5p and Sunday 8a - 5p. Midweek classes are also available and run Tuesday 8a-5p and Wednesday 8a-5p.  Whichever class you choose, attendance at both sessions is mandatory and successful completion of both written and riding tests is required to receive your DPS MSB-8 completion card.  Note:  Students arriving late or failing to attend any session forfeit their tuition.  All who pass enjoy insurance discounts with many companies and may be exempt from the skills test at the DPS.
 
The Basic RiderCourse™ classroom sessions meet at Team Mancuso PowerSports/Gulf Freeway (10222 Gulf Freeway, South of Downtown, next to Cavendar's Boot City). 

Cost is $195 and is non-refundable. Tuition includes the use of a training motorcycle during range sessions, books and materials. Loaner helmets are available. You will need to provide your own boots, long-sleeved shirt, long pants, eye protection and full-fingered gloves. Classes are held rain or shine, so appropriate covering will be needed depending on weather.
